Salmon Recipe
There are many types of salmon to choose from, therefore, there are many salmon recipes available for you to try out at home. Salmon can be cooked in a variety of ways, with a variety of ingredients. Below we will list a couple of different salmon recipes.
Baked Salmon Dijon
This salmon dish is quite easy to make and it can be enjoyed as an entrée by the whole family as it is a heart healthy recipe. This recipe is for six servings.
- 6 (four ounce) salmon fillets
- 1 cup of fat free sour cream
- 2 tablespoons (tbsp) of dried dill
- 3 tbsp of scallions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp of Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp of lemon juice
- 1 1/2 lb of salmon fillet with the skin cut in center
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- You will also need a fat free or other type of cooking spray
- Whisk the sour cream, dill, onion, mustard and lemon juice in small bowl to blend it.
- Preheat your oven to 400 °F and lightly oil a baking sheet with the cooking spray.
- Place the salmon skin side down on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the salmon with garlic powder and pepper and then spread the sauce on it.
- Bake the salmon until it is just opaque in the center. This should take about 20 minutes.
- 2 lbs of salmon
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of granulated garlic
- 2 - 3 teaspoons of mesquite meal
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- Heat the sauté pan to medium heat. An indoor grill or oven may also be used if preferred.
- Cook the salmon that is 1-1/2 inch thick for about six to seven minutes each side.
- Rub the olive oil onto the salmon.
- Cut the salmon into portions if you're using filets, then sprinkle salt, garlic and mesquite meal over the salmon.
- When the salmon is finished cooking add black pepper to it.
